The future of form and material in design

In the world of architecture, there are two camps:

1. Those that look backward to gauge a grounding for the future;

2. and those that break new ground, not letting past ideas cloud their vision for creative direction.

Greg Lynn is an architect who has continually pushed the boundaries when it comes to composition and built form. He often faces violent opposition from those that see the past as sacred however, like him or not his research and built work certainly opens doors to new ways of thinking. With a strong background in mathematics and innovation, he paves directions few even know about let alone understand.

This lecture is about materiality and how new technologies in plastic's engineering are facilitating fresh possibilities. Fascinating stuff, enjoy!
